Jacob Chayat Biography Jacob Chayat was born in Isreal in 1939. He attended the Kibbutz Dafina An Autodidac school in 1951. Chayat went on to study graphics at the Technological Institute in Tel Aviv in 1959. In 1981 he initiated and founded the Painters and Sculptors Association in Bat-Yam and served as the first chairman. From 1983-1987 he was the director of the Ben-Ari Museum in Bat-Yam, Director of a publishing studio, and Director of Chayat Gallery, Tel Aviv.
He was the winner of the 1966 “Maariv” Prize for Art. 1981 |
