Biography

Michael Kachan was born in 1964 in Armenia. He grew up in the countryside and finished the local high school in the Art Department. In 1985 he graduated with honors from the Art Academy in Kiev. Kachan participated in exhibitions of the Ukrainian Painter's League all over the U.S.S.R. and abroad. In that period he painted a large number of big murals in various institutions. He immigrated to Israel with his family in 1992. He works mostly in Acrylic on canvas, using the human figure as an expressive element. The color he uses compliments his form and elements.
