Biography

Vadik Suljakov (Shul-ya-kov) comes from a well known intellectual family with many generations of artists and writers. His uncle is a well-established artist in Russia who is known for his photo-realistic paintings.

Since arriving in the United States over a decade ago, master Russian artist Vadik Suljakov (pronounced Shul-ya-kov) has established himself as one of the most distinguished young impressionists in the country. One look at his exquisite rich, vibrantly colored, textured canvases and you understand why Suljakov's work is so highly sought after.

Suljakov, born in the cultural center of Moscow in 1960, comes from a well-known intellectual family with many generations of artists and writers.  He started painting whe he was seven years old. Formal training began at age twelve at the Moscow First Art School while also serving apprenticeships at both the Moscow Graphic Art Committee and the Moscow Art Group. Between the ages of twelve and twenty, through his study of drawing and painting, Vadik developed master artist skills.

While participating in exhibitions in Italy and France, he became fascinated with the appearance of the cities and villages and so began his interest in painting landscapes and cityscapes.

Vadik immigrated to the United states in 1990 and began work as a commercial artist.  Over time he has gained a large, loyal following, including me.
